We all have our share of stress ..
I've always been about the people who experience misfortune complained cynical. I used to say that they do not have a positive attitude and what they expect to be able to come. "As a man thinks, so is he."
But now I think differently. Some things can be learned only through experience. Some can pleasant and unpleasant. But it is necessary to have made both good and bad experiences.
Last year we lost our house in a fire. Itwas a terrible loss because the property was insured under. My wife and some of my friends asked me why this disaster should happen to me a positive person. I did not know why! But I knew one thing. Everything that happens to me happens for good. What is good and when it will be, I had no idea. I'll have to wait and see the good when it comes and be grateful to him.
Since the house that burned down was a family house in a duplex zone, which wedecided to build a duplex. If we consider the plan submitted to City Hall, found our architect that we could construct a three story triplex. So we now have a three story triplex, which offers a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains. Freighters and cruise ships from around the world anchored in front of our house, and sea birds and eagles give us endless entertainment possibilities. We also have an income from the other two parts of the house. The fire was a blessingdisguise.
If the fire had been excluded less than 70% of the house, we would repair the damage and not be allowed to demolish the house and build a new business. The fire department was responding a bit slowly, and that in more than 70% of the house led to burnt. This small delay helped us, but that was not the intention of the Fire Department
Needless to say, during that time we suffered a lot of stress.
All stress is created by the mind and the abilityOvercome stress, is also created by the mind. Some events can be very great stress and unhappiness.
First we look at some of the negative effects of stress. A true story by Father Jerome de Morella Sorento, told an Italian missionary in the Congo. A young man spent a night with his friend. According to the tribal custom of young men from eating wild chickens allowed at breakfast. Unknown to the visitor willing to host a wild chicken and servedBreakfast. When asked the guest, the landlord said that it was not a wild chicken. A few years later the two met again. Our hosts prepared a wild chicken for breakfast. Again, the host asked if she answered a wild chicken and the host: "Yes." The guest refused to eat him. The friend laughed and said, why you should eat it now if they were perfectly happy to eat it last time was to refuse. Once clear of the host that he was eating breakfast, that was a few years ago a wild hen, hebegan to tremble violently, and was dead in 24 hours is.
What was the cause of his death? Was it the violation of tribal custom? It would not for he is not the hen that morning, and if it against the custom a few years ago nothing has happened to eat badly. It was the stress of pursuing its breach of tribal custom
A few years back.
Another example of the deadly effects of stress was developed by Dr. John K. Williams, a member of the writtenExecutive Board of the National Association for Mental Health. He wrote in his book "The Wisdom of Your Subconscious Mind", which was a doctor's permission to obtain experiment in a criminal sentenced to death. The prisoner was blindfolded and told that he will be pain-free vented instead of hanging to death by torture. He was placed on a table. The doctor made a small incision in the hand, but not deep enough to cause bleeding and a small stream of running water waswere allowed to trickle into a bowl, as if the prisoners are oozing blood hand. The doctor made suggestions to the effect that he bled to death. In a short time the prisoner died with all the symptoms of cerebral anemia. although he never lost, no blood. Here again the death was the result of stress, created by his Spirit.
Dr. Holmes and Dr. Rahe of the University of Washington Medical School, Seattle, interviewed many sick people and found that their disease might beStress they had suffered in the previous two years. They came with a check-list of 43 items to which they gave numerical values. For example:
After the death of a spouse, they gave 100 points
Divorce 73
Injury or illness 50
Retired 45
Trouble with the boss 23
Christmas 12
They found that when our guests in just one year more than 300 points, we are covered by a 90% chance to critically ill in the nextYears. Property-Rahe-test is generally used for statistical analysis of the health of military personnel in the U.S.
It is now a recognized fact that 50% to 80% of all illnesses are psychosomatic. Many cancers are attributable to social stress. To have ulcers, high blood pressure, arthritis, chronic backache, skin disorders, headaches, allergies, stomach problems, asthma, hay fever, impotence, insomnia, diabetes and alcoholism as stress.
High School FootballPlayers from families with problems are probably more stressful than the serious injuries suffered by other families.
But in advance we invite accidents happen. Therefore, when stress comes, recognize the stress, but realize and be sure that some good comes out for good, and after so that comes.
If we cultivate the habit, it is always at the end of stress as an advantage. Try to expect that they see and that it happens every time
Besides the concern for health andlittle things that we have a long list of "what if's". For example: "What happens if my house is robbed, when I'm gone?" You know the story of the woman who had the 23 locks and 20 dogs on their guard, because she feared she would be raped, robbed and murdered. She spent sleepless nights in fear and trembling.
Some of us worry about what others think about us. If we knew how little they thought of us if ever they did, we would get us through these concerns in a hurry.
The interesting fact is that althoughConcern is the cause of so much stress, worry may be imaginary.
40% of your worries may never happen
30% worried about events that have already happened and nothing can be done to them
10% of your worry about little things
12% of the worries about your health or nutrition, weight, etc., and will only exacerbate the situation.
It is the story of the hypochondriac, who was his doctor. When the hypochondriac described his imaginaryDiseases, the doctor would make short notes. The doctor was called away to answer a call. When the doctor was gone, the hypochondriac looked at the notes and saw the letters "SOB". He was very angry. When the doctor returned, placed him as a hypochondriac, as he dare, such remarks about him. The doctor replied: "First of all my personal property and my notes, you should not have looked at them. Secondly, the letters" SOB "stand for short of breath and not what youthink.
All stress is not bad. Medical research has concluded that under-stress-depression, can cause indigestion, overeating, chronic irritability, fatigue, inability to concentrate, and many other unwanted habits. Too much or too little is not good.
Stress can be useful and necessary. If there is no pressure on the strings, not a sound could be coaxed and run the highly prized diamond Clock is not just for a minute, but the emphasis on the most beautiful StradivariusSpring.
Too much tension, the strings of the violin and the springs are the Clock snap and too little as it is useless.
Some stress is through the promotion and strengthening of our advantage. What counts is not the event that creates the concern, but as we have the event. An event that leads to constant worry can be a very useful challenge to the other.
When we look at the lives of great people, we find that its size depends on their ability to overcomeThe tragic events in their lives and turn them into the events of the blessing.
Paul wrote the letters in prison. Charles Kettering broke his hand while cranking a car and thus he invented the self starter. He had a sign in his lab, "Do not Bring Me Your success, they weaken me. Bring me your problems, they strengthen me."
As a boy, Edison worked as a candy butcher on the train between Port Huron and Detroit. One day he was late for the train and rantogether to aboard. The conductor literally pulled him aboard by the ears. His eardrums were damaged and he lost 90% of his hearing. Edison claimed that his deafness helped him when he heard the loud ticking of the telegraph ticker beneath the chatter of people he could not hear. This deafness led him into the unexplored field of economy and its transmission. He patented 1100 inventions in the field of economy and its transmission, photography, and electricity, before he died in1931 at the age of 90 years.
If we are under stress, are sharpened our awareness of our senses and our mind. We all know many people who work best under stress. But they make it impossible to create stress, anxiety in them.
There are many ways to deal with stress. Some of them are simple and we want our minds from the object of stress get. Some therapists recommend temporary remedial measures such as a warm bath, a walk, mow the lawn, bake bread, you write your peeves, find out what we fear and so on. .
Getting our minds out of the question is not only good for stress, but also in dealing with many other annoying problems.
Some other common ways to reduce the stress, some tranquilizers, mix an alcoholic drink, smoke pot, eat, take, watch TV, go to bed and cry, it will be for our loved ones but the answers we just land in major trouble.
There are three better methods with which we are able toTo overcome stress.
The first method is to imagine for the mistakes of the past that you forgive. There are many people who do not get rid of their guilt feelings about this error.
The famous writer, Guy de Maupassant wrote a story titled "A Piece of String." It is the story of a man who saw a string at a busy marketplace. He stooped and picked it up and thought he could use it. He was picking up a lost wallet, arrested and prosecuted and imprisoned. Fortunately, the areWallet was found the next day. This man was not about the insults and humiliations he suffered to get. He pondered day and night. The cord had become an obsession. He neglected his work and went from person to person complains, as he wrongly arrested and detained. He died of a broken heart murmured: "A piece of string."
The line was an obsession, because he was finding fault with himself that he lifted the piece of string. If hefocused on the person who accused him and forgive him, the obsession would not have existed, because he had forgiven and forgotten the offense the offender.
A wise man once said that if a person prefers to bed at night, he should take off his mind and from the mistakes and failures of the day. The art of forgetting is a virtue, we should acquire.
Second method to eliminate stress is the forgiveness of the perpetrator. You have to forgive others for the crimes, committed against you. We read in the Gospel, "Excuse me, if you should have against anyone." Some people say: "I can forgive, but I can not forget." Henry Ward Beecher, the famous American preacher in Brooklyn, New York, said: "Such a statement is another way of saying that I do not forgive."
Benjamin Franklin said: "It is the lot of the people have to suffer. It has lost his fortune." and we forget because we must and not because we want to.
Little evil spirits are rich inAnger and revenge and the feeling of joy of the forgiveness of their enemies incompetent. You will experience the release of strain, the relaxation of body and mind, if you forgive a person. You have no idea what a great treasure lies in store for you until you experience it. For your own sake, for our own peace, to learn for their own health, to forgive for their own pleasure, too.
The third method is to control our brain waves. Learn to control our brain waves bringgreat joy and pleasure. Meditation and yoga are the first methods for learning the brainwaves to control. Biofeedback also allows a person to monitor the brain waves and thereby take control of stress.
Finally, when we earnestly search for the meaning of our life and the creator of the purpose of creating the universe, with all living things with the people in the top rung, with the highest power of deduction and induction, all is clear to us that theCreator was looking for company. The tensions we experience in our lives are challenges that make us strong and perfect companion for the Creator.
