NY Bus & Truck Accidents - Crushed in Chinatown

I was on my way back from a deposition yesterday in lower Manhattan, when I returned, my car I had parked on the Lower East Side. While heading into New York City yesterday morning I heard on the radio about a fatal accident involving a dump truck coming from the Manhattan Bridge on Canal Street and was somehow, at a high speed, plowing right into a tour bus at the intersection of Canal Street and Bowery. One woman, who upon entering theStreet, was crushed to death by falling debris from the accident. Four other people were injured.

As I approached the intersection of Canal and Bowery, I was at the scene as surreal looked shocked. It looked like literally a series of films which have been sealed off by police. When I arrived there was to photograph the police nor the conduct of its investigation and then. Every time there is an accident leading to death, sending the New York City Police Department specificallytrained investigators from the Accident Investigation Squad determine exactly how the accident occurred, and the cause of death.

The dump truck had plowed into the back of the tour bus was pulled out by a massive tow truck. Destroyed the back of the tour bus was, and the front of the bus was literally in the bank building at the corner of Bowery and Canal. Glass was all over the sidewalk. The bus looked like a skeleton with a missing part of its "skin. HighwayPatrol cars and police officers with many stripes on the arms and gold shields walked the streets, talking to each other, that interference will not get in the way of pedestrians and spectators.

What is with this woman, who was herding her own business one moment, crushed to death the next? What happens to her family and what if she has children? Who will take care of them? How will they survive and what they have to live? Will they need to depend on the generosity ofStrangers?

Regardless of why the dump truck barreled down the street and in my bus, not about this woman and her family deserve to be in this terrible and tragic loss of balance? They did nothing to cause this terrible accident. The bus driver was apparently about to passengers and unlikely to contribute to this accident. So who should be held to the loss of lives in this accident account? Most likely, the driver of the truckbe held accountable and the company he worked. Who knows what to apologize, they come up with to explain why not stop this huge truck.

In New York, where an offender has caused injury and leads the life of another, he now owes a debt to that person and their family. The only system for the compensation we have in New York, the repayment of this debt is the family of the victim. That is the only justice that can come from this terrible accident. We can notthis woman back to her family. If the offender is not obliged to compensate his victim or their family members, then he walks away with a terrible tragedy caused without having to pay its debts to the family of the victim. That would not be fair at all.
